As Event Directors for Living Waters, it is our honor to work closely with each group coordinator to plan and carry out their canoe trips. You will find us each weekend elbow deep in every aspect of the event. It all starts with a registration and a phone call and ends with a cheery wave as you pull out of camp renewed, empowered and exhausted (the good kind of exhaustion), and everything in between. As our children have grown up in this ministry, and we look back, we are so incredibly blessed to have been able to call Living Waters our home away from home. Our oldest is 18 now and headed off to college this fall. We think back to all the people that have come down to the river that have touched her life and helped mold her into what she is now and will be. Thank you! Each and every guest that has come to camp, has in some small way, added to the service experience of our family. Thank you God for blessing our lives with Living Waters. We are honored. |

The Lewis Family is the perfect example of a guest coming down to the river and saying, "I want to be a part of this!" They started out as guest and then came out as a host family and then last year, came on as Event Directors. Living Waters is blessed to have this wonderful family on board.
When pulling off a weekend, sometimes it can come off as robotic...get the tents up, do we have enough busses coming, cook this, cook that, build this fire here, take the canoes here...it is easy to get wrapped up in making sure everything goes off without a "hitch". Having the little people there reminds us to have fun...they bring the joy...they bring the music! Imagine watching your favorite movie without any score, or a play with not a single note! Having kids involved with the ministry, puts the music in each weekend. While Joe is out on the river with their oldest Eli, training him to be a servant, Dawn is back at camp tending to Rachel, Aidan, Gracia, Laney, Jillian and now Reagan...Thank you for bringing the music to the ministry.

Cindy and Charlie and their entire extended family have been active in the function and leadership of Living Waters. We have been family to each other in all of the seasons of life and we know that we are better together. No one scares our guests more, or causes more belly laughs than Charlie and when you see him and Jim together... a good time is afoot. Charlie is fleet director... it is his fault if your canoes flip over. |
